Veteran's Day Parade Iformation

Thursday, Nov. 11, 10:00 a.m.

All sign-carriers please report to the Early Learning Center (ELC) beside Ripley Elementary by 8:45 a.m. to check in.  Some veterans will be present and some will not.  Your signs will honor all of them.

Already have a sign?.............. Please still go to the Learning Center.

Already have a specific veteran to honor?............  Call City Hall by Nov. 1 to be sure they’re registered.

Don’t have a specific veteran to honor? That’s perfect!  A sign will be given to you.  Do NOT trade signs.

Keep the weather in mind …………. Dress warm – November mornings are chilly.

Have a sibling or parent who’d like to carry a sign?................ Great, bring them! (5th grade and up)

Your parent may pick you up at the courthouse around 11:00.

It’s a privilege to be part of this event!  You can list this as a community service activity on honor society and scholarship applications.  Remember, you are representing your family and our school, so please conduct yourself with respect and honor at all times!   Be friendly and TALK to any veterans you see before and after the parade.  They enjoy getting to know you, and we can learn a lot from them, too.

Please call Mayor Rader at 304-372-3482 or 304-532-0548 with questions.
