Good morning RMS Parents, today we will be conducting a few safety drills which include a Code Red Drill and a Lockdown Drill. Any donations of drinks or individually sealed snacks for Fall Fest would be appreciated. All proceeds will go towards the 7th grade field trip.

Good evening Ripley Middle School families. As required by Jamie’s Law (WV HB 2535) we will be providing Signs of Suicide education for students during the weeks of October 16th and 23rd. This training is offered to provide information on suicide prevention and awareness. Students will learn how to recognize behaviors which indicate that a person may be at risk for suicide and how to seek help. All students will receive the training; however, only students whose families returned permission forms will be screened to determine if they are at risk. If your child is found to be at risk for suicide, you will be contacted by a staff member to discuss the results of the screening.

Good afternoon parents and guardians, this is a friendly reminder that tomorrow, October 13, 2023, is a Professional Learning Day for school employees. This means that students will not have classes. We have also added parent-teacher conferences to the Professional Learning Day this year. If you would like to schedule a conference with a teacher, please reach out to them as soon as possible. Students can stay after school for $5 to enjoy dancing, games, movies, snacks, etc. Criteria to participate in the activity is that students must be in attendance all day and cannot be on social probation.
