Good evening RMS Parents, Get A Life Financial Simulation is needing some parent volunteers for May 18, 2023. What is Get A Life? It is a hands-on financial education experience that engages students with the realistic family budget scenarios. By visiting various business stations and managing an expense ledger, students learn to make choices that will affect their financial future. Students gain skills to make better financial decisions. They also learn how higher education will help advance their career goals.
The volunteers will simply ask the students to browse what is offered at each table, make a choice, then subtract the cost of the service or item from their budge on their ledger sheet. We have three time slots that need volunteers. The following time slots are from :
Session 1: 8:05 to 9:37
Session 2: 9:41 to 11:50
Session 3: 12:46 to 2:18
Lunch is also being provided by the 8th grade teachers from 11:50 until 12:46. If interested in volunteering please contact Jay Hamilton at 304-372-7350.
Good evening RMS Parents! Our annual GSA testing has begun and we hope that you will encourage your student to give their best effort in each area of testing. This incentive will be a few hours of fun on a giant water inflatable water slide.
